Mr. Ramaswami has served as our Chief Executive Officer since December 2020. A seasoned technology industry executive, he has more than 30 years of experience in enterprise technology with leadership roles spanning software, cloud services, and network infrastructure. Mr. Ramaswami has expertise building and scaling enterprises and teams, having a strong customer-centric approach, operational execution, and developing innovative products and solutions to drive growth and value creation. Prior to joining Nutanix, Mr. Ramaswami served as Chief Operating Officer of Products and Cloud Services at VMware from October 2016 until December 2020. Prior to that, Mr. Ramaswami led VMware’s Networking and Security business as Executive Vice President and General Manager. Mr. Ramaswami served as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Infrastructure and Networking, at Broadcom from February 2010 to January 2016, where he established Broadcom as a leader in data center, enterprise, and carrier networking. Prior to that, Mr. Ramaswami served in multiple General Manager roles at Cisco Systems, Inc., a global technology company, overseeing switching, data center, storage, and optical networking business units. Earlier in his career, he held various leadership positions at Nortel, Tellabs, and IBM. Mr. Ramaswami’s strategic vision and operational discipline are reflected in our transformation to a profitable subscription-based business model. His deep understanding of customer needs and competitive dynamics is critical to guiding Nutanix’s strategy and execution.

Mr. Ramaswami has served on the board of directors of Marvell Technology, Inc., a semiconductor company, since July 2025. He also served on the board of NeoPhotonics Corporation, a manufacturer of telecommunications circuits, from March 2014 to August 2022. This prior public company board role, including service as Chair of the Compensation Committee, deepened Mr. Ramaswami’s expertise in optical networking and executive governance. Mr. Ramaswami is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and holder of 36 patents, primarily in optical networking. Mr. Ramaswami holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Rukmini Sivaraman is the Chief Financial Officer of Nutanix. She brings a combination of extensive finance and technology experience, including from her tenure as SVP of Financial Planning and Analysis; as well as Senior Vice President of Strategic Finance and Chief People Officer, both held at Nutanix. Prior to joining Nutanix, she held various roles at Goldman Sachs where she spent 8 years executing strategic transactions including IPOs, other equity offerings, mergers & acquisitions, and debt financing for technology companies. Prior to her tenure at Goldman Sachs, she worked at Cypress Semiconductor. Rukmini has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
